Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a consolidated version of regional and Classical Chinese medical traditions. It was developed under the heavy-hand of Mao Tse-Tong to preserve Chinese medicine and integrate with Western medicine and research. Chinese workers and late 19th century immigrants were among the first to bring TCM to the United States. This consolidated version of Chinese medicine is what is taught in most Chinese hospitals, medical schools, and Western training centers. Integrative Medicine is where Western sciences and medicine are brought together with TCM or other non-dominant medical fields for a more holistic inquiry into a health condition. My training in Chinese Medicine is complimented by extensive training in Western Biomedicine, which enables me to comprehend diagnostic labs and tests. You are invited to bring your Western lab and examination reports to help us with our intake process.
